new RAV4 owner

Just carried our new RAV4 in for the frist free service. Very positive experience with dealership and was only disappointed by one thing. We had hoped that they would be able to set our RAV4 to activate automatic door locks after entering the vehicle. We replace another brand that had this feature. We found this to very beneficial in our older vehicle.

Welcome to the Nation. As far as I know, Toyota doesn't carry this feature like Chrysler or other car manufacturers.

to TN!!
I installed a python car alarm in my Tacoma that had the automatic lock after entry feature. You may want to look into having one installed if you have your heart set on your Rav having that feature!

Welcome aboard!

A shame to hear that the feature you're after didn't come factory on your particular vehicle. My Corolla has a feature that it came with from factory which is similar to that, whereas it locks the doors automatically as soon as I reach 20kph (12mph). A great feature to have - Although it scared the crap out of a female hitch-hiker that I picked up one day

I'm sure you'll have many trouble-free years of motoring with your Rav4. There's plenty of help available here if you need it

Enjoy the forums!
