Hello all, I am 53 y/o owner of a 1000 dollar 83 celica gt.Found it on craigslist first toyota I ever had.Still own restored 69 elcamino,but love my little celica,it does not use gas like that built 454 in the camino,making it possible for me to get around more.But being a 27 year old car it has a problem or 2 that I have been working on getting staightened out.The car had been sitting for approx. 3 years when I got it and even though it ran it had times it did not run so good.Which turned out to be caused by a rusty gas tank.I am trying to get an inexpensive a/c comp. for it as the shaft seal leaks,the sunroof is apart right now and when I leave here today I will attempt to get the part I need for that,it shows 141000 when I got it but the speedo didnt work[fixed that].So far though I drive it everywhere putting 5000 miles on it since fixing speedo,maybe 2.5 months ago.Still looking for a vac.advance for the dist.But it is fun and responsive to drive and I never see another one any more on the road.Paul

I loved that car, I can't belive i could say old car because I remeber when that was the "ALL NEW CELICA" where has the time gone? Anyway, They were/are fun cars to drive and are/were very dependable. Should you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to get in contact with me. I am usually in here everyday and chance are if you go to your local dealer, your car will be older than the person helping you
