New Member-New Venza

Hi I'm Thom in San Francisco Bay Area. I got a Silver Venza with everything except Nav package. I did not want the Nav package-not because I never get lost, but because my wife's Lexus has one and I absolutely hate it since it is not intuitive and the darn voice recognition software keeps thinking I say Vermont when I say California--Weird.

The Venza was a no brainer choice for me. It is the only crossover that tows worth a darn. Toyota, though, missed the boat since their tow package does not include a hitch receiver-don't know what they were thinking.

I will probably make some posts to the Venza forum as I get to know my car better. I'll probably not do any customization while it is under warranty, but I probably will "jazz it up" some in a few years. SO far, not many options for customization.

Congrats on the purchase of the Venza! I probably would have left out the nav package too. I prefer to use my own GPS system that sticks to the window. Easier to use and easier to update. I wish I had your luck of never getting lost though! . There's a lot to see and do here, so feel free to browse around and make yourself at home
