new owner of 2001 Camry

Hello out there! I recently purchased a 2001 Gallery Series 2.2 4-cyl Camry. It is the pearl white color w/ gray on the bottom. My daughter had a '94 model Camry and loved it. Mine was a one owner, and very well preserved.

I have searched the site for already discussed topic of possible front wheel bearing noise, but haven't been able to come up with anything here in TN. The sound is similar to a cupped out tire, but my Michelin Harmony tires (80% gone) have worn very well and do not have cupped out places on them. I can feel the slight "wroom-wroom" w/ my foot on the accelerator, so the issue seems to be up front. The steering doesn't shake, so not sure what it is.

I'll look around the site some more for symptoms of front wheel bearings going bad.
Andy

to the nation! Unfortunately the search tool for the forums is generic for this software and not so hot. A good alternative is to use the Google Custom Search window located just below the ToyotaNation.com logo at the upper left of any forum page. It usually returns better results than the standard search tool.

Welcome aboard!

I'd suggest clicking the 'Advanced Search' button and selecting 'Search Titles Only'. Your chances of finding a related thread will be a lot higher. Searching for a single word such as "bearing" will help too.

Here's a link that may come in useful:

95 Camry Wheel issue or Bearing ?

And a link to other search results:

If you have any questions, just ask . Enjoy the forums!
