Talking Newbie from Mid-MO

Hello Toyota Nation!

I'm another new member who isn't that new to Toyota. My first Toyota was a '72 HiLux truck that I only owned a short time before it met its untimely end (I had nothing to do with it! )

The wife and I have a 2009 Camry LE that the wife drives to work. It is a truly reliable vehicle that hasn't given us a bit of trouble. We recently inherited a 2007 4Runner SR5 when my parents decided that they should no longer be driving.I have decided to give it a try as my commuter car (100 miles/day 4 days a week ) because my soft-top Tracker appears to be seriously aggravating my asthma. I'm not certain if I'll keep driving it, it depends on the mileage I can squeeze from 4.0 liters and 4wd. I'll fill it up tomorrow and crunch the mpg numbers. If its acceptable - then the Tracker goes on the market next week (kind of hoping it does - I'm getting spoiled already).

Sorry about blithering on....

I am looking forward to networking with other owners in regards to my vehicles.

That's a great testimonial!
Sounds like the ragtop needs to go, regardless.

It is beginning to look like the rag-top will be on the way out. I managed 21.19 mpg on the last tank which is only 4 mpg less than the Tracker. Once I get a new set of plugs and an air cleaner in the 4Runner, I might be able to get it into the 22s.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Commuting with a soft-top Tracker, compared to an 07 4runner...The decision is obvious !

The tracker is history! Just don't let the wife drive it, she'll take it from ya!

Yeah, I have to admit that the 4Runner is a much sweeter ride to work than the Tracker, but I do miss it in a sick sort of way.

No worries about the wife making off with the 4Runner, she has her Camry!
