Proud new owner of a 2010 Tacoma

This is Charles from Burton, MI. I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

I picked up my new 2010 Tacoma two weeks ago and I have to say that I love the cargo space in the Tacoma! Although it was sad to see my Yaris go (a trade-in for the Tacoma), the versatility of the truck more than made up for the absence of Yaris from my garage!

I've always been driving a Toyota ever since I learned how to drive. My first Toyota was a 1994 2DR Tercel I got from my parents. It served me well until my first baby came to this world in 2005. I sold the Tercel and bought a 2005 Camry. A great family car! Then, just when I was thinking about getting a small grocery getter, the dealership I bought my Camry from offered me a great deal on a 2008 Yaris. Too bad it's an automatic. Both my wife and I drive stick. It turned out that neither of us drove the Yaris often. We only put 15K on it in two years of ownership. So, when my new job called for a truck, we decided to trade the Yaris in for a 2010 Tacoma.

Gotta love the reliability of Toyotas.

I enjoyed your introduction.
Tacomas are great trucks. They are very versitile-the best of both worlds.
I have a '95 Tacoma 4x4 with 335,5xx miles that has served me well since I bought it new with the ONLY repair so far, (knocks on wood) being the starter!
Welcome to the forum!

Thank you! Out of the four Toyotas I've owned, none has left me stranded on the road or needed any repairs. Coincidentally, only the '94 Tercel needed a new starter in 2004, but hey anyone would be surprised that a starter could last 10 years. I consider starters as part of the regular maintenance. In contrary, my wife's old whip, a Dodge Neon, asked for a new starter every 3 or 4 years for some reason.

Welcome to the nation!

Congrats on the purchase of the Tacoma! It must be a lot different to drive compared to the Yaris. There's plenty of help and info in the Tacoma forum, so feel free to browse around and get used to everything

Happy posting!
