I joined after researching a car that I am interested in and if all goes well on Saturday I hope to own my first Toyota. I am looking at a 9th gen 2008 1.8L Corolla CE with a 5 speed. It has 30,300kms and the asking price in the paper is $11,988. I put in an offer of $10,500 and I am hoping to get it for 11K. I just sold my 1997 Ford Ranger for 3300 bucks and now I am moving away from domestics and looking at the gas sipping Japs. This corolla has really caught my eye, epsecially after seeing some of the tricked out corollas on here and car domain. I have a few specific questions but I'll create another thread over in the corolla forum.

The 9th Gen Corolla is a great vehicle (in fact, all Corollas are great vehicles) so I'm sure it'll last you a very long time. The 9th Gen Corolla forum here is one of our busiest, so you'll always have an abundance of information available right at your fingertips. I'd recommend reading some of the sticky threads at the top of that particular forum while you wait to hear back about the offer. Some might consider that jumping the gun or getting your hopes up prematurely, but I consider it being optimistic, and the info you learn now will give you the knowledge needed to know what specific features do and what to look for when the time comes to pick it up
