Hello from a English Transplant based in GA and FL

Hi folks,

Just wanted to introduce myself.. I am Richard, a dual citizen of the US and UK. Been here for 19 years now.

I am joining the forum to learn more about hybrid drive in general with the intention of building a plug in hybrid conversion powered boat!
A little different, but I have read some incredibly helpful posts and I am sure the collective mindset will help with my project.

I am in the very early planning stages right now.. I haven't even chosen the boat platform to work from, let alone what to use as a base vehicle (the HiHy is my initial guess as it has torque and the gas/electric combination.. plus front and rear drive to power a two engine boat).
Probably going to be an old tour boat with a blown engine (i.e. dirt cheap)... this I want to convert into a house boat with an electric drive.

I have already made a couple of posts... if you have the tech smarts or engineering background to make some useful comments, please feel free to chime in... even if it is to tell me to stay clear of using a hihy and going to a totally different platform.
