New guy

Hi, everyone. My name is Vadim. I live in the USA. My main car interests are DTM and JDM.

I joined on here for research and gathering information. Currently I drive an Audi A6. I absolutely LOVE Toyotas. A lot of people I know have Toyotas and theyre just wonderfull cars.

I plan to purchase and build an AE86. My plans are for a fairly simple car to just simply enjoy driving. I plan to use a hatch chassis. I want to restore as much of it to a "like new" condition by rebuilding, refinishing, reupholstering, repainting, or buying new parts whenever possible. Other plans are a fully rebuilt transmission, rebuilt and reconditioned to like new blacktop 5th gen motor with short bird eaters on it, lightly upgraded to around 160+hp, stiffer lower suspension, exhaust, lsd, oldschool JDM wheels, good soft grippy tires, possibly tint, HID's, white paint with the bottom painted black, runfree kit, a simple audio system with an aftermarket headunit, speakers, 8 inch sub and an amp to run it.

I am currently doing reading and research about those cars. A HUGE help to this is the fact that my friend who lives 10 minutes from me has 4 of these and 1 that his father owns. I am going to be hanging around his car helping with the rebuild and work on his to simply learn things for my own car.

My current car, which I absolutely love and adore is an excellent daily driver with some BPU's. It's a 2003 Audi A6 with the 2.7L V6 twin turbo AWD with the tiptronic transmission. It's mainly a daily driven car. It has some upgrades all around. Some performance, some visual and audio. My future plans for it is to make the audio sound as best as I can get it and an air suspension, other than that maintenance and keeping it away from people so it stays in the shape it's in right now. Now for some photos of it.

Hi and welcome to Toyotanation!

That's a very sweet looking A6 you have. I've always loved the lines of that bodystyle, very clean.

Congrats on choosing an AE86 as your next car. You're definitely if for a lot of work to restoring it since they're so hard to find in good condition or one that hasn't been abused by a previous owner.

We're glad to have you with us, please enjoy your stay.

to the nation!

Sweet photos! I love the HDR shot at the very end. That's a very nice looking Audi you've got there. Can't wait to see what your AE86 looks like when you get it. I'll have to go out and buy a bib because I'll probably start drooling

Enjoy the forums!
