Hello from Spring Tx

Contemplating a new(used) car purchase next year - summer. One of the ones I am considering is an Avalon. I have has several toyotas in the past, X had a corolla wagon, she abused it, had to put 1K into it but it lasted years with minimal upkeep - so I was really impressed with them. While married bought a 95 Corolla sedan - with two kids - was great car - again very little upkeep expense. After divorce - I bought a 2000 Camry - great car - lost it to an accident.

Right now driving a 99 Jetta but will upgrade next year and an Avalon seems like it will meet all my needs. So joining just to get background info and what to look for and what to expect to pay for 08 or later year model.

Welcome aboard.

Although the Avalon has its own set of problems (just like any other vehicle) I think you'll find its overall long term reliability about a thousand times that of a VW.
