Hi new member

I just bought my first Toyota, a blue 2009 Corolla LE this week for my girlfriend. Her 1994 Olds Cutlass died. It's a certified used car with only 22,000 miles on it. I'm really impressed with the quality even down to the solid feel of the doors closing.
The telescopic steering wasn't something I was expecting, it's very useful. I haven't tried the wipers yet, it has fixed intermittent wipers instead of variable wipers,I thought variable ones were standard nowadays but I haven't tried them yet so I'll see how useful it is.
I got it for a very fair price at the Toyota dealer, the whole transaction went pretty quickly. I really haven't driven it yet except for a spin around the dealer's lot. I'm going to take it for a drive this weekend when she's off work.

Congratulations, and welcome to Toyota Nation! I agree that the Corolla is a great value for the price. Keep taking good care of it and it'll last as long as you need it to last.

Welcome to the nation!

Congrats on the purchase of the 09' Corolla! They're very nice vehicles, especially the LE model. It'll be a lot different to drive than the Cutlass, and probably considerably safer too. Feel free to post some pics of it sometime!

I hope you enjoy yourself here at TN
