Well, I signed up on TN about 4 years ago when I bought an 89 Camry. Did an intro then, and only made a few more posts before selling the car. Then in 2007/2008 I started looking for an alltrac Celica to buy. Well, I finally found one that fit the bill for me in October of 2009. I forgot all about TN until now, lol (Mainly on alltrac.net). So here's a little re-introduction!
My new Toyota is a 1990 Celica Alltrac that I picked up for $3000 in Eugene, OR from the original owner! It had 186,512 miles on it (about 203k now) with the original motor, which has perfect compression. I'm assuming the original owner thought it had a blown head gasket as it "consumed" coolant and didn't have a lot of power. Well, I got it home and found that the radiator was cracked, and the throttle body coupler to the intercooler was torn. Replaced both items, and everything was perfect!
I bought the car 100% stock, and have since done a few modifications. Here are the pictures of when I brought it home:
Here are some pics of me having a little fun!
Here are the pics as it sits today!
This is what I have done to it so far:
- HKS Silent Hi-Power Exhaust
- HKS BOV
- 3" Downpipe
- JSpeed Rear Diff Mount
- Whiteline Rear Sway Bar
- 17x8 Forged Motegi Traklight Wheels
- 235/40/17 Sumitomo HTRZII Tires
- NGK Iridium Plugs
- JDM Clear Corners
- Autometer ES Boost Gauge
- RC Front Bumper & Grills
I love the car, and it is my daily driver for most of the year. During the summer months it shares that duty with my 240SX convertible. My "race car" is a 240SX coupe with a built SR20 in it. The Celica will one day get more attention in terms of power, but for now I just enjoy it for what it has now!
