1991 Tercel DLX
Years of driving used cars brought me full circle this year to a 1991 Tercel DLX. The interior is great, for all that the car will be a continuing investment of time and money. It also seems possible I might get into the mechanics of it so it's my time and less money. New CV shafts and bearings have been the big investment so far - and someone else's labor. But it doesn't matter that it needs new struts, two new tires, a clutch, alternator belt and a valve cover gasket. I point it and it goes with 261,000 miles on it.
