Soon to be a New Corolla S Owner (advice)

Hi Everyone,

I recently made a deal to trade my 2008 Mazda 6i 5spd with 60k for a brand new 2010 Corolla S 5spd manual. The Mazda was a great driver's car, but always in the shop for problems once the warranty expired (steering rack, brakes warping, ticking noises, exhaust leak) so finally I had enough and went to Toyota, because everyone recommends their durability I talk to. I took a financial hit to get out of the Mazda but I know my money is well spent on a Toyota and I plan to keep it for the 5 years it is financed.

I put a deposit on the Black Sand Mica S, but i'm wondering if I should have went for the Blue Streak I would love to hear everyone's opinions because I may have to ask the dealer to make a last minute change. If it matters I am a 28 year old guy.

Can any Corolla owners out there let me know if coming from a "drivers car" like the Mazda 6, feel satisfied with their purchase of a Corolla (heard some negative feedback on the EPS system)? I am looking for a safe dependable car that will be a little bit of fun on the side, I think I am on the right track with the Corolla.
