Cool Hello From Burbank

You folks have already helped me, but I have not posted an intro.

I'm Bob, live in Burbank, CA.

My poor 2001 Camry LE (5SFE + Auto) gets flogged in horrible LA traffic but it keeps on going!

Nearly 148,000 miles now. Solid, dependable, vehicle. We don't drive it hard, but LA traffic is hard on any car.

Completed a radiator replacement today and solved a problem with the forum's help.

I'm a fair, but "only when I have to or want to" mechanic. I enjoyed the DIY today. Car is easy to work on.

Brakes are mushy. Needs a brake job, then want to get rid of the too bouncy ride. Don't know if I need stiffer springs or struts, but it's always been kind of soft.

I work in Merchant Services. Support a large group of E-Commerce merchants and provide their VISA/MC processing, help them identify fraud, provide savings over their existing bank relationship, yadda yadda....

I'm 54, Married, have two grown son's and two teens still at home.

Hello, Bob, and welcome to Toyota Nation! I hope you don't have to commute on the 5 freeway up in your neck of the woods, which is a hell hole I wouldn't want to do on a daily basis. My hat's off to you if you do have to run that gauntlet every day. Enjoy the forums, man!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, the 5 Freeway is NOT my friend, but it is a constant companion!

My radiator repair is 100% - time to move on to the next item..a little stiffer suspension.

Goal is 250K with few problems. Don't need a new car, they just get torn up in LA.

My other car is an 03 350Z - that one is for fun.
