Canada New RAV4 Owner

Retired. Now a boating instructor. Living in Kingston WA on Puget Sound (part of the Salish Sea). Bought a new RAV4 Limited last year and this year made a 6,000 mile trip in her. Great car.

Welcome!

Sounds like you've been getting some great use of your RAV4. Would love to drive that far in my car someday. A real testament to Toyotas reliability. There's plenty to see and do here, so feel free to browse around and make yourself at home

Canada Winter Driving

Lots of good weather driving. Now wondering how to handle snow and ice. Yes, even here in Seattle WA it has snowed 6-1/2 inches already today, and more to come tonight, and with a temp of 20-degreed F. Any pointers, especially use of the stuff the RAV4 has, would be appreciated.

Here is a past thread from the RAV4 forum that you might find of help. Also, you might want to search the RAV4 forum and use only "snow" as your search term, which will turn up three pages of past threads that will have additional information. As indicated in the thread I linked to above, if your RAV4 does have a traction control on/off button (like the one found in my 2008 Highlander) I'd recommend shutting it off when stuck in snow as it's the difference between night and day when driving in snow.
