HEy Yo

Just wanted to stop in and say hello. My name is J.T. and i live in cartersville ga. Just picked up a 93 pickup with 35,000 on the new engine but 250,000 on the truck itself. There are some things i am wanting to replace to get the ol Jalopy back to feeling new order. I remember when i was lurking on here i saw a thread about someone saying when they shifted through the gears it was hard. Could someone point me in the direction of that thread on what to replace in the tranny please? Looking forward to learning from you guys

Hi J.T., and welcome to Toyota Nation! I'll take a look and see if I can find that thread, but because of the subject matter and number of threads that exist in that forum I don't know if I'll be able to nail it down. But it's worth a try.....

Edit: Here's a recent thread from the Hilux forum about difficulty shifting. You can also find more by using that forum's search tool and using only the word "shift" as a search term. The forum's search feature isn't so hot, and keeping searches simple helps a lot.

Welcome to the forums, J.T.!

Congrats on getting the pickup! The Hilux forums are jam-packed full of useful information and knowledgeable people, so feel free to browse around and make yourself at home

Enjoy!
