2011 Camry (base model) Hybrid wheels

Just purchased 2011 base model Camry Hybrid. Love the design of 2008 7 spoke 16" Camry wheels. Will I run to any issues if I install the 2008 Camry wheels on my 2011 Camry Hybrid? Thanks

to the nation, and congratulations on the new hybrid Camry!

If you haven't done so already I'd check out the Camry hybrid forum. I'd be willing to bet that's been covered in a past thread, and if a search doesn't turn one up then by all means post up a new thread. Enjoy the forums!

Welcome to TN!

If you can find out the width, offset, tire size differences etc between the old wheels vs the new wheels then there are plenty of great online calculators out there which can tell you how much clearance you'll get and how much the new wheels will effect your speedometer by. There's bound to be some relevant threads in the Camry forum though, so I hope you find what you're looking for

Best of luck, and enjoy the forums!

Hybrids are very sensitive to changes. They come with very lightweight tire and wheel packages for maximum economy. Unfortunately, they aren't always the best looking things. Changing to a standard wheel and tire may reduce your MPG return.

Yes, I think you're right. I just don't like looking at hub caps, and I don't like the look of the 2011 Camry wheels. Thank you very much, I'll continue doing homework because I don't want to ruin the MPG of a new car.

If you pull one off and weigh the tire and wheel combo, you can have a good base number for searching for your replacements. Add light wheels and low rolling resistance tires, and I bet you don't see much of a drop.

Okay I'll try it. Should I stick with Toyota Camry Hybrid wheels? I'm not familiar with the tire pressure sensors on them, I'm afraid I'll alter any type of original settings on the car. Thanks

TPMS sensors can be switched to most any alloy wheel. I've done it on mt GM, my Honda, and my Scion. If there are some Camry Hybrid wheels from another year you like, that might be a good way to go... IF you can find a set!
