Oh no what did I get myself into? lol I have been looking for a heater core for 3 weeks now. Do they not make them anymore? I cant find anyone who has one or can order one. I have looked on the internet and like 10 parts places. Although finally I did find one at a junk yard which is a bit scary to me. As I am not a junkyard kinda guy excpet for test parts. Now all I have to do is wait for it and put the dash back in. So who else has had this amount of fun? lol Oh what a feelin' TOYOTA !! lol

Since this is not a common failure, and you are looking for a part for a car that has had a few birthdays... the pickings are going to be pretty slim! I'd suggest the salvage yard route. You can always take the core to a radiator shop and have it tested. They MIGHT even be able to repair your current core.

Another possible option might be to pull your core, and head to a parts house to do a little comparison between other Toyota models (corolla, tercel, etc.) to see if one might be adaptable or even a be direct fit. Interchange listings are not always accurate on older models for low volume parts like heater cores.
