new 2 site radio trim? keyless entry?

Just picked up a 98 Camry, v6 xle with 61,000 actual miles. Car is n gr8 shape...undercoating still intact...rubber looks good. No rust.

Been looking thru the posts...regarding radio trim r there screws holding the trim...or does it just pop out? I've read differing info.

I've also been looking 4 info on a keyless entry system...any comments? Installation pretty easy 4 a diy?

Why huh? 4 a handle? I'm a guy. One track mind. One track mind. One track mind.

to the nation!

The Camry forums are some of our busiest, so I'm sure you'll be able to find the answers to almost any questions that you've got

I did a quick search in the 3rd & 4th Generation Camry forum and came across some useful threads about keyless entry. Here's the search results:

As for removing the radio trim, if you can't find a satisfactory answer then by all means feel free to start up your own thread . That forum is filled with knowledgeable people, so one of them is bound to know.

Have fun on the forums, and happy holidays!

Welcome!

I'm pretty new too, but. I'm guessing KiwiCorrolas info in the keyless entry search will be the same for you as me. I'm working on that now, and I'll post on my results. So far I've bought a universal 4 channel remote from "Power Fist". As for the radio trim, I've removed a radio/cassette player from a 97' Camry. Just pry out with some finess (in a none scratching, denting manner), on the bottom of the trim panel around the radio and it pivits out and down from hooks in the top part of the panel. All radio/component, mounting screws are then exposed. If your going to do it, do it carefully and don't mess-up the surrounding trim, it shouldn't take much force to do. Have fun!
