Been cruising the forums and finally signed up.

Ive recently picked up a 91 v6 ext cab 4x4 Pickup as a "fun truck" since I just moved to Hawaii.

the fourms seem like a fun place with plenty of helpful folks to learn from.

It's good to have you with us. Congrats on the purchase of the pickup. One of our SuperMods is also from Hawaii so you may be hearing from him soon . This place is definitely a lot of fun, and there's always something to see or do.

hey everybody. i'm new to this so please bear with me. thinkin about buyin either a '93 4runner with 177,000 or an extended cab of same mileage. i have previous experience with toyotas but a little concerned about the mileage. both have the 3.0 v6 and run great(have test driven both). Wondering if the rumor of head gasket issues is true? had a corolla with 170000 and sold it-wish i didn't. Also picked up a 4x4 '90 regular cab with 160,000 as aproject but had had to sell it. love em but don't need a project-require a daily driver. help????? please soon cuz i don't wanna miss out on an opportunity......don't see these so often in st. louis. thanks

There was a recall on the head gasket issue, but if it hasn't failed by now, it probably won't.
You can talk with the guys over in the truck forum about it further.

Ive been enjoying working on my Toyota almost as much as I did my air-cooled VWs.
