Hi, My name is Jose and my son just picked up a 1985 AE86 and we are going to be making a project out of it and as I was discussing it with someone I know, they suggested I join Toyota Nation to meet up with other enthusiasts and to share and possibly get some useful info on our project. This is actually my first Toyota project since I have always been an American Muscle kind of guy. My son got me hooked now though. We watched a couple of Initial D episodes and the movie as well and it prompted me to do some research and here we are. We just bought a JDM 20V Silver Top to put in it and our project is just beginning. Look forward to being able to share our experience with everyone.

Thats gonna be a great project. How do you intend to use the car? AutoX, Drag?
Anyway, we have some really cools guys who know the AE86 and this type project well.

We actually want to use it for drifting but keep it street legal as well. Thanks for the welcome.

Sounds like a great project! The 4A-GE 20v Silvertop will be a lot of fun, especially in something as light and nimble as an AE86. Looking forward to seeing your progress!
