Hello, Jeremy, and welcome to Toyota Nation! I know the area in Texas you're from pretty well. We used to spend lots of time when I was a kid water skiing and fishing on Possum Kingdom Lake. Small world....

Welcome to the forums, Jeremy!

This place is a wealth of information, so there's always a lot to learn and plenty of great people to meet in the process. If your aunt ever has any questions about her Corolla, you'll no doubt be able to find the answers in the 10th Gen Corolla forum . If you have any questions about the site, please don't hesitate to ask me or one of the other staff members

Enjoy!

Very cool! I think if you mention that in the Off Topic forum you may find some members following you around as well....

No, I haven't been to Burleson, but many of the towns just west of it in the Possum Kingdom area. We had a lot of great times on that lake, and on Lake Travis and LBJ too, but that was back in the 70s when I was a kid and Texas was a lot less populated. Whenever I travel back there I can't get over how much it's changed. Nevertheless, it's still a great state with great people....

ok i see that you are in cailfornia now,i got family in travis,ca(near the world series champs SF bay giants)and my cousin used to be stationed in edwards air force base in lancaster,ca(near palmdale)back in 2005 and august 2005,i went out there to visit him too... fun times

cailfornia is too expensive to live there(i heard),that's why i'm still here in texas(i was born at harris hospital in ft worth, texas on 8:00am on april 6,1978 and raised here in burleson(where i currently live)....

i never been to possum lake at all..and LBJ(lyndon b johnson)not just a president back then but also my distant relitive(seriously,i am blood related to him, that's what my family told me)..

I was born and raised a good part of my childhood in Texas. Been living in California many years now mostly due to family (my parents and siblings all live within 40 miles or less), but the extreme taxation and bad local attitudes are more than I want to take anymore. Going to be moving to Nevada before long, but I understand too many Yuppie Californians are moving there too and trying to transform it into another California. If that's the case I'll probably end up back in the Hill Country of Texas. I don't oppose to moving to Texas right now, except that I want to stay as close to family as possible for the foreseeable future.

my cousin(one who was in lancaster,ca back in 05)almost got stationed in vegas but end up in phoenix,az in 2008 and still there now..

as for texas,we get too hot summers with humidity so i would stay out of texas if you like cooler summers lol (i'm used to that,i have altism so i can't move, plus all my family/friends are here),however part of me wants to move like out of state(just for a change reason)but i can't.

Good to know! Fortunately the 5th & 6th Generation Camry forum is just as active as the Corolla forum

No, looking at more than one location to buy some major ranch land. Idea is to have as much space between me and my nearest neighbor as possible.
