My First Toyota

Hi from Dallas. I just purchased a 2009 Avalon Limited. The 2005 745LI gave me too many problems.

Welcome to Toyota Nation!

Congrats on the purchase of the Avalon! There's an abundance of information in the Avalon forum, so you'll no doubt learn everything there is to know about your car in no time . If you have any questions about the site, please don't hesitate to ask me of one of the other staff members

Enjoy!

Is there a outside temperature gauge on the 09 Avalon with a navigation system? If so how do I make it show me the display?

Welcome! I work in the auto service and tire business and feel your pain on the BMW. Wonderful car to drive but a horror to service and maintain. When we get one in, good techs will often lose their turn in the rotation and pass on a BMW or benz. Toyotas can certainly have issues but at least they're not designed by the spawn of Satan.

WELCOME!! How does the 09 Avalon Limited stack up to against the 745 Li?

I work corporate on the rental side of the industry and I can attest to techs playing rock, paper, scissors when a Bimmer, Benz or Volvo comes in.

I'm very happy with tha Avalon, I like the soft ride and the features on this car. The only thing I miss about the 745 is the look of the car.
