Hey all,
Haven't owned a Toyota since the mid-eighties, but picked up a 2008 Camry LE last night at a used car dealer in NH. It is like new with under 22K miles, 2.5 months of 3/36 warranty left and also came with the pre-paid premium maintenance plan from Toyota (dealer paid xfer fee) which is good to 55K or 3/30/12. I't had every maintenance on time at a Toyota dealer thanks to that plan as well as a spotless Carfax. I sold a Volvo V70 wagon and find the Camry is actually quieter IMHO on the road than the Volvo was, even with the new Michelin snows it came with! The one thing that blew me away was that I was thinking I'd have an extra foot or so in the garage with the Camry vs the Volvo wagon, but it turn out the Camry is about 5" longer and .7" wider! Go figure!
At any rate, looking forward to years of comfortable and economical service. The dealer had filled the tank so when I got back to Maine I topped it off again at about 110 miles and it averaged 29.8. I think I can do better, but I did get my foot into it a few times on the highway to see how she'd go.
Looking forward to scouring the archives here and interacting with the members here to learn about my new ride. Ordered some mudflaps, winter floormats and driving light kit for it. That should do for a while.
