4th Generation New guy, oh so fly.

My name is TrueBooleanFalse, but you can call me TBF if you choose. I have used this name for my entire internet life (since 2004); it started when I wanted to learn how to program computers. Now I have gotten a bug for wanting to fix up my crappy old '98 Camry. Don't get me wrong, she's good to me, but I need to fix her style.

The car was bought used about four years ago, right after BCT/AIT. I wanted to get a Scion Tc but couldn't find any that had a manual transmission- I end up trying to shift gears in automatics, not a pretty sight. I settled on this Camry and it has treated me well since. The person that had it before me replaced the factory radio headunit and rear deck speakers.

I have only had to do one real repair on the car, which is the driver side exterior door handle, but now I have to do the interior door handle. Don't worry, I have them ordered and on their way. Hopefully it wont be like the exterior where I have the dark green paint with the light green handle.

Anyways, I found this website while trying to find parts and answers to fix, as well as 'purdify', my car. From what I have read, there are quite a few knowledgeable folks here. I like even how some people want to save money and come up with interesting ideas such as blackout tail lights homebrew and sanding down your headlamps with 8 different grits to take all the crud off of em. I will be searching this site for all kinds of information as well as the two listed in the 'The Rules' board.

Hello, TBF, and welcome to Toyota Nation! Sounds like you've got a pretty good handle on what you want to do with your Camry and how to get there using TN, but if you have any questions about the forums don't hesitate to ask.

aboard!

What a coincidence, I'm from Earth too! . The 3rd & 4th Generation Camry forum is always very active here, so there's plenty to learn and lots of knowledgeable people to meet. Feel free to post some pics of your ride sometime!

Have fun on the forums
