Camry's Camry's Thank You Kiichiro!

watup all . . . man, what a great forum. if you own a camry and haven't had at least one dream about taking it to 140 on the track you don't gotta pulse. if you own a camry and haven't had at least one dream about the odo rolling over to half a mil on the first engine . . . well . . . man i love my camry.

yeah yeah . . . so mine's a '93, 4 cyl, LE, with 218k original miles. she was born and raised in ohio where they salt the roads so a lot of lines and some minor stuff has been corroded and rusted and replaced. also replaced gas tank, power steering had to be fixed, antennae won't go down, some electrical probs with the windows, and some normal stuff like break pads, etc. all in all, not bad for an 18 year old car.

just seafoamed the engine for the first time, and man you shoulda seen it spit dark tar looking smoke for about a minute until the smoke turned white- i think it was begging for it.

did i mention this thing was garaged and never touched 2+ years, and it started right up with a jump? man- thank you again mr. kiichiro!

so after the rebirth from the garage, i've used only the most premium gasoline i can find. i've also been uising some of that "jet-fuel" high octane stuff at the beginning of some fillups (about $10) and man, this baby purrs and peels out at the slightest touch. engine sounds so clean like it's new, with thr premium grade gas it is so noticable-sounds like a new car.

so that's me . . . i'd love to know what grade gas you guys use/recommend and your experience with the "jet-fuel" type products or even nitrous or something else to boost acceleration and have the cleanest burning, fastest fuel that's best for the engine.

my goal's to reach 500k & any/all advice/experiences would be really appreciated. trying my best not to dog it out but it's tough once you hit the freeway and this thing sounds like it's begging for a lap at daytona.

also- anyone have experience replacing the 14" wheels with 16"'s? pros/cons? man i love my camry.

i'm getting historical tags in 2018 just to cruise the local parades . . . .
haha camry is a BEAST.

Great intro! Sounds like your Camry is a real fighter. Like most Toyotas, they're certainly renowned for their incredible reliability, so hopefully you'll be able to make it to 500k with ease, especially with the help and info available here at TN. The 3rd & 4th Generation Camry forum is one of our most popular, so you're bound to learn loads and meet a bunch of great people in the process

Have fun on the forums!
