Central California here for my Commuter Car

Hey guys, Steve here.

I signed up to get information about converting my 88 Corolla from carbureted to EFI. Currently it will need a new motor and the Automatic transmission is on its last legs.

Anyone have links to threads about such an EFI swap, I just want to go with the motor that will be most fuel efficient, which I think is from the next year newer camry.

Currently my 2 daily drivers are F350 Powerstroke 7.3 Diesels, but I would like to put this thing back on the road to save a little on gas, insurance, and registration while I knock down a little debt.

Thanks in advance!

to Toyota Nation! I'd recommend visiting the 6th Gen Corolla forum and using that forum's search tool to find any past threads about EFI conversion mods. If you don't find one, then post up your question in a new thread. Good luck!

WOW. EFI conversion on a 1988 model car is going to be interesting to say the least.

I realize anything CAN be done with enough money, time, and skill... It's going to be a major overhaul though and I don't think that is what the OP is expecting. Not gonna just bolt on a few parts and BINGO... EFI!

Welcome to the forums, guys!

Check out the 6th Gen Corolla forum as it's jam-packed full of useful info. If possible, I'd recommend going for a 4A-GE 16v swap rather than mucking around with the carb to EFI idea. However, whichever route you decide to go down, I look forward to seeing your progress

Enjoy yourself here at TN!
