New Tacoma in MA

My name is Greg, and I just purchased a 2011 Tacoma from Lia Toyota in Wilbraham, MA a few short weeks ago. I really like the vehicle (Access cab, 4x4, 2.7L, 5 sp.), but I am having a small issue in that one of my steel wheel center caps fell off almost immediately. The salesman initially gave me a hard time about replacing it, but did eventually offer up a free replacement, since I had only owned the truck for 2 weeks. I went in to retreive it, and he handed it to me and told me to drive around to the service bay to have them install it. The service manager soon came looking for me to tell me that he could not install it because it only had 4 clips on it (as opposed to the 6 molded slots in the cap). I brought it back to my salesman, and he is going to order me another one.
I am not happy to be driving around in a brand new truck with 1 wheel that does not match the other 3...
I hope that I am just off to a bad start, and that my furure ownership years with this vehicle will be trouble free.
Greg

Hi Greg, congrats on the purchase of the brand new Tacoma!

I hope the centre cap problem is the only one you'll come across during your ownership of the vehicle. Perhaps you could have a search in the Tacoma forum to see if anyone else has come across that problem as well. There's an abundance of information available here at TN, so you're bound to learn all sorts of interesting things about your new ride

Happy posting, and welcome to the forums!
