Got a Deal on 98 Camry
Hello! Not really much to say. I was driving a Chrysler but I ditched it because of a bum engine (funny, after having it for 2 years, I sold it and finally figured out what the problem with the engine was 2 weeks later!).
I bought the Camry for $1000, expecting to use it as a winter beater but it runs so well I've prolonged my SUV purchase until further notice! 4 cyl 2.2L auto. 213k and runs extremely smooth. I had to change the thermostat when I first got it and if anyone does this, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the AC Delco one for $18 I got at CarQuest. Why? The piece of crap one I got from AutoZone might have only been $7, but a) it didn't come with the $7 o-ring like AC Delco one does, b) it was made is Israel not Japan, c) it doesn't even have a bleed hole let alone a jiggle valve. If I'd left that one in I would have destroyed my engine. Took it back and put in the good one: no problems!
I had to replace a lot of dash board lights which is what I'm working on now. Will update this later on!
