Hi to All! New 2011 Avalon owner!

Just got my 2011 Avalon Touring last month and came upon this forum when I was searching for ideas to work with my own car. Right now it has all the stock option from the factory as it's supposed to. Looking to add headrest DVD players, bigger wheels, rear spoiler, window shades in the short future. Here it is friends

Very, very nice! Almost makes me want to trade in my 2002 and get the 2011. Welcome to Toyota Nation, we're glad you signed up with us!

Welcome to TN!

Sweet looking Avalon! It looks very elegant, especially in Super White . Sounds like you've got some great plans for it. Feel free to post the pics of your progress

Have fun on the forums!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'm searching and talking to people about getting the back of the seat off so I can install the DVD headrests. Don't want to jump into it without finding out what I'm doing. Hate to break something small and expensive due to recklessness. Also, I found out that I'd need 225/35/20 tire size if I'd want to rock 20". Thanks to hghflyrjd1. One thing I'm wondering about is the TPMS. Can I ride new 20"s without the TPMS? Is the low air tire sign the only thing will popped up on the cluster and nothing will happen? Or do I have to have the TPMS installed in my aftermarket wheels? Thanks. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

You don't have to include TPMS, but the warning light would come on without TPMS installed in the new wheels. Owners of other models of Toyota have found workarounds for that, but I don't know if a workaround exists for the Avalon. I'd search the Avalon forum and check, and if you don't find a thread addressing that then by all means post up a new one.

Thanks for the fast reply. hghflyrjd1 with the 20'' on his told me the same too. So I guess I'm now in search for some 20" wheels with 225/35/20 tires in order for me to ride without worrying about it rubbing. I'll make another post in the Avalon forum later on with progress on my car. Thanks again for the warm welcoming and all the responses.
