Intro

Simple entry, here, guys. I have two Pre-Tacoma Toyota 2wd Hi-lux pickups - an '85 and an '86. I kinda like my little trucks... The '85 has a Weber carb; the '86 has 187k miles original.

Those Hilux's seem to last forever. My #2 Toyota was a 92 V6 2wd EC pickup. I wish I'd kept it.

I'm having carb issues with my '86. The guy I bought it from turned screws w/o knowing what he was doing. I don't particularly know, either. It seems that the float bowl level is set low, evidenced by it being OK except when starting (I have to prime with ether), and when under heavy demand (as when being accelerated to highway speed. Thanks for responding to my intro. Do you know of an image of the 2bbl carbs used with '86 22R's that would show and identify adjusting screws? Thanks!! PB
