hello from ireland

hello im from northren ireland my name is shane im 18 and i am training to be a mechanic. i like lots of cars mostly japanese cars i have a eg civic project and madza mx 5 mk1 1.8 bought to fix and sell anyway i intend to buy a supra tt six speed not any soon lol . the reason i joined this forum is i would like a ae86 coupe but im a bit of a speed freak so i would like to swap engine to blacktop 20v any one a good write up on this swap to see how much work is involved thanks!!!!! i will definitely be back in the future with a toyota

hows tricks, im a dubliner! just joined up too...so i should probrably pop up an intro after this message... :P

a blacktop 20v engine wouldnt make much of a difference to be honest in the ae86, if you were looking for speed over anything, would ya think about the engine out of a is200/altezza? should fit in the engine bay after a few minor alterations...

you need to keep in mind too, that the ae86 isnt the greatest when it comes to corners, you'll have to upgrade the steering and suspension if you plan to drive it in ireland lol, especially if yer putting a different engine into it...

AE86 hello

hello toyota nation and Stevo85 i would imagine the blacktop would be an easier swap then the is200 maybe not lol has anyone ever done that swap i would like to see some write ups for the two swaps thanks for the advice stevo
