USA Greetings from soybean country!

Greetings to all and many thanks to the staff of TN for providing a great place to gather for Toyota owners.

My name is Brad and I'm located in north central Ohio in the town of Marion. We just purchased a 2011 Corolla S in nautical blue and while we don't have a huge history with it, we love it so far!

I had a Pontiac Grand Am that I loved, but a young lady decided she needed to get into the Tim Horton's coffee shop as quickly as possible and took the front of my car with her! We have been studying what to replace it with and have run into a LARGE number of Toyota enthusists who insist that these are the best cars made as far as reliabilty. One of our neighbors has had 4 Corollas over the years, all with between 250 and 300 thousand miles on them before trading them in. That's good enough for me!

I love the new dark nautical blue color and while it's not as fast on acceleration as the Pontiac, I believe the mileage increase will more than make up for it!

I am the pastor of a small church and also work full time as a technical sales representative for a automobile parts supplier. I am married with two grown boys, one of which is a Corolla owner (2009) as well.
That's all for now. I look forward to talking with you all on the forums.
Thanks again for a place to call "home" for our new car and discussions about it!

Brad

Thank you for the compliment, Brad! We try our best to have a great set of forums here, and to that end if you ever have any questions about TN don't hesitate to contact me or one of the other staff members. Your new Corolla is going to serve you well, especially as gas prices continue to climb.

Congrats on the New Corolla I've had 2 myself, and they both served my family well.

Hey Brad, nice to see another Ohioan here (I'm currently out in Indiana at school, but that's beside the point). I'm from up near Cleveland and also replaced a Grand Am with a Corolla S (2010, though... the new '11 look really slick!)

Thanks for the warm greetings guys. It is appreciated by someone new like myself.
Emptyminded42, good to hear from another Ohioan! I find it interesting that you too had a Grand Am. The Corolla isn't as fast as the GA, but with the price of gas, I am very happy I bought this beast. I just clocked the second tank of gas and got 34.25 MPG. Not bad for a new engine that is not even broken in yet! So far, I'm a happy camper.

I'm taking her in for some side moldings and Zeibart rustproofing... I don't trust Ohio winters to be kind to her.
Thanks again guys. It's good to find a friendly place to call home.
