Same Tercel, three times
Hello, I am new to the forum but have read threads here many times in the past. I have a 1996 Tercel, and this is the third time I have owned it.
I first got the car from a printing company (cpmpany car that the employees abused) in 2000 with a blown motor, and more damage than it would be worth to repair at a shop, but I got if got free and brought it back to life. I gave it to my daughter in 2004 when she needed a vehicle, and when she bought a new car a year later she gave it back to me. Then, in 2007, I sold it to my neice in Maine. She beat it up pretty bad over the next for four years. I bought it back three weeks ago, and I have a laundry list of repairs I am about a half way through.
This Tercel is the most dependable used car I have ever owned and that is why I keep getting it back. On the drive from Maine to Connecticut, with 245K miles on it, I still got 41 MPG.
I will be posting questions as I attempt the last few repairs.
