Hi, my name is Chris.
I joined here to absorb as much info as I can on the truck my brother just purchased. We were both born and raised on FORD, which we will always remain faithful to. However, knowing the reputation that Toyota trucks have, for reliability, longevity and agility..... had to jump on this one...
1995 Toyota T100 XtraCab SR5 4x4
3.4L/Auto
a little bit rusty, needs rockers and some bed work.
runs great, uses a very little amount of oil.
needs exhaust gaskets and a few vacuum lines tended to.
Oh, btw, it has 501,364 miles on the VERIFIED ORIGINAL ENGINE.
Original owner verified that it was pampered and only sold it because of a minor engine compartment fire (critter chewed some firewall insulation, or something, that laid on exhaust crossover pipe) He was afraid that it was catastrophic failure.. so he was ready for something new after 484,000 miles.
And, my brother only paid $1000 for it.
