Greetings from Mexico!
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here. I essentially bought a new 2005 Tacoma, from a dealer in central Texas..drove it off the lot straight to extreme southern Mexico (on border with Belize), where I own/operate small hotel/restaurant. I was assured by salesman that there were a few "dealerships" in my area, as I wanted to make sure I could obtain required service. Not true. To be a "dealer" in Mexico..all you need is a card-table and a picture of a vehicle..set up in a shopping mall. Congrats!!..you're a dealer! Bottom line is, I have been doing all I can to maintain my truck..now with around 100k miles..living in a harsh, saltwater environment. Local mechanics are out of the question..they stare in wonder..and awe..and total confusion when I pop the hood. I will be looking for help, in this forum, on how to properly maintain my truck. It's been great..a real trooper..but starting to show her age (aren't we all?). Glad to be here..hope I can get some answers from you guys.
