First Toyota!

Hi all,

Last week I traded my 12th car, a '06 Mazda 6s in on a '09 Toyota Corolla XRS 5 speed w/ JBL audio system. This will make my first Toyota Looking forward to contributing to the forum.

This car is my DD/Good gas mileage vehicle. I do about 25-30k miles a year so I like to feel at home when driving.

I have purchased replacement speakers for the car. Anyone have a picture/suggestion on where to mount the crossover boxes that come with the component speakers?

just my 2c, but I love my Corolla MUCH MORE than wife's Mazda 3... hope you feel the same about your Mazda to Toyota swap

Thanks for the warm welcome! Too be fair, i'll provide my assessment of the two after a couple more month behind the wheel of the Toy. When it comes to peace of mind and fuel efficiently the Mazda didn't stand a chance.

The Mazda did have all OEM Nav, Leather, Bose, HIDs, 6speed and 18"s so that's going to take a little to get used too.

With enough time I'll have most of that in the Corolla!

My second baby...anyone else ride?

Would the 6speed transmission on the '11 be a direct bolt-on to the '09 2.4 motor? Thanks guys!
