New Member from Los Angeles Here

Hi you guys. I have visited this website a few times in the past but I have never registered till now because now I want to get more serious into knowing my car inside and out and it's always a pleasure to hear from other Toyota owners.

I currently have a 1995 Toyota Camry which is also my first car and everybody keeps telling me is extremely reliable, and last for a really long time.
I bought it in 2010 from one of my days Co-Workers for $3,300 and it only had 87,000 miles on it. It was from an older lady and she only used it to drive to and from work and occasionally around the city if there was something wrong with her other car.

Now I am a College Student and work part-time and drive on the freeway on a weekly basis.

Now it's at 102,000 miles and I feel I should be more involved in my car since it has treated me well and given my and my friends many good memories especially at the dorms.

I hope to meet a lot of great fellow Toyota owners here and have a great time. Thanks.

Here is my current 1995 Toyota Camry which is also my first car. Thanks.

Thanks for taking the plunge and signing up with us...welcome aboard!

Sounds like you got a great deal on that Camry, and with regular maintenance it'll easily see you through your college years without nickel and diming you to death. It's an excellent car....

My 1995 Camry is an automatic.

I had my oil changed about 200 miles before it hit 100,000.

Last fall I had my engine oil leak finally fixed, also had to get the timming belt replaced just to be safe because the oil might have been leaking on it. I got the brakes done, and other routine maintenance stuff.

I just had the starter replaced yesterday because it was having problems starting up and last week it got me stuck in a place with a lot of traffic, once at a gas pump, and made me late to work a few times. It use to have weird start up issues when I didn't drive it for over 24 hours or when the weather gets really cold and rainy. But now since I had the started replaced it's fine.

Next up I need to fix my suspension and get my stuts replaced because whenever I'm driving me and my passengers can feel every little bump. I already got use to it, but it makes me think my passengers are uncomfortable even though they don't complain about it.

I can feel it bumpy the most coming from the rear of the car. I say this and might be more inclined to say it because as a young college student with lots of hormonal urges and 5% tinted windows all around my car there were many multiple times where I was with a girl who was willing to participate in sexual activities in the back of my car when a room was not immediately available for our private use, or we were just traveling and she was feeling naughty

But I really need to get a mechanic to look at it thoroughly to determine the real cause.

HA never knew asking what transmission you had would get THAT much detail.
