I would have preferred to enter this website under different auspices, but here I am and here's why. My baby, I think I killed it! This is my wundercar, practically everything I ever wanted in a car, was raised to want in a car, it was supposed to last at least another 100k. It was going to be one of those that made it to the 500k club! And now what. It's sitting in a parking lot awaiting a trailor to tow it home, getting snowed on.

What did I miss? Where did I go wrong? The shop where I hobbled it into did a block test, it made a green liquid turn blue purple, they said I shouldn't drive it anymore for fear it will throw a piston.

It's history: I VERY happily bought this about 5 years ago from someone in CA. This after a disastrous affair with a 4WD 6 cyl that had a bad childhood. I bought it so I could take it around the country, sleep in it, work on it, (lovely 4 cyl 2.7 engine). It was my be all, end all.

Well it ended, all right. Can anyone tell me what leads to this??!!

I'm guessing it's a 4x4 tacoma with the 2.7 ltr engine?
As far as what lead to it's demise, need more info.
I would post this in the Tacoma section.
I have a 95 Tacoma with the 3rz 2.7.
I'm coming up on 377,xxx miles.

No, it's a 4Runner. After I posted, I explored the site a little and a little less dramatically posted in the 3rd generation section. 'Glad to hear your truck is doing well. Have you had it from the getgo?

Ah! Makes sense. Alot easier to sleep in!
Yep, bought it new. It's been a great truck. Only repair so far is the starter @201K miles and a bad rear wheel bearing a few months ago.
Other than that, only maintainance.
