Angry I want to disable the electric antenna in my 95 Camry wagon

The motor for the antenna started making a god awful noise the other day when I turn on the stereo.
I want to disconnect it since I don't care about the radio at all.
However, I havent seen any instructions on how to do it in the wagon.
If anybody has done it I would appreciate any tips on how to make it easy.

And by the way... why the hell did Toyota stop making the camry wagon? I love this car!

The Camry wagon is great, my mom has a '96. I forgot how exactly to get to the motor, but you have to take the side panel off which means you have to take several other panels off to get that one off. It is a pain but you should be able to do it in an hour or so. I just figured it out as I went. Then just unplug the power from it, but make sure it is in the up position first

Thanks.
That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping to maybe get at it through the little hatch back there but it figures I'll have to actually do some work.

the other ghetto way would be just to pull the stereo out, find the power antenna control wire and chop it.

I bit the bullet, got the electric screw driver out and started pulling panels yesterday. Really not too bad once I figured out I had to pull the floor out first. Lots of screws but luckily I didn't have any extras when I was done.

I left the antenna up about 6 inches so if I want to use it I'll have to get out of the car and pull it up all the way (won't happen much).

Now I'm thinking of a new single CD reciever with an aux input in front for the MP3 player. I've been having problems with the 6 cd changer and I'm too lazy to load it up anyway.

Problem is there aren't that many units with front aux inputs (in my price range). The only one I've found is a Sanyo ECD-T1560, for about $180.

Thanks to all.
