Thumbs up Happiest "New" Camry Owner In New England

I am now the very happy owner of a '94 Camry. This is my first "foreign" car and also the newest auto I have ever driven.
My old faithful Ciera finally crapped out on me after 17 years of pretty dependable service, (well actually she has had her share of problems but my husband does all of our repairs so it wasn't too painful).
This January we bought the Camry. I knew this was the car I wanted as my mom still has her '94 and I always liked driving it. I discovered however that they are not that easy to find, guess folks like to hang onto them. We did locate a nice dark green Camry right in town and and I could not be happier. It came with the moonroof and RS3000 alarm system that I am still trying to get used to, I have never dealt with alarms (first week I kept setting it off). The previous owner installed a remote starter, now I can't imagine life without it!
I really enjoy reading through these forums and I am learning alot about my "new" car and Toyotas in general. I couldn't be happier even if it were brand new because this is the car I have always wanted (see I am not difficult to please eh? )

Welcome to TN! I'm glad to have another lady on the boards, but what's even better-you love your Cam and you're local!! So...where are you from? And you should definitley look into the Massachusetts Meets and stuff.
Remember, give your Cam a little kiss every night!

Hi Lauren and thanks so kindly for the welcome. My husband and I live in New Hampsha' however I was born and spent my first 23 years in California. I have been here 19 years (that makes me one of the oldies on this forum eh?). We have two cats, three birds, five neices and nephews and ALOT of old cars. My husband's hobby is classic cars and they have sorta become our "kids". We also enjoy cars shows, Formula 1 and other types of open wheel racing and just about anything having to do with cars. I see there are quite a few folks here from the Mass. area. I didn't realize there are meets. Are they only for the cars that are modified? I mean my little Camry is just a stock '94 with nothing special added (except for that car starter I love )
Yes I do give it a kiss every night and I consider myself lucky to have found this little gem. I knew as soon as I drove it that this car was for me. I think I am the second owner and the way my husband collects cars I can tell you this little Cam is never leaving our family!

Your more than welcome to visit us at a meet-doesn't matter if your car is stock or not, we all get together 'cause we love cars. We have a few New hampshire people around on the boards, and my little cam is stock as well. (Not for long... )
Classic cars too huh? My fiance and I have a 76 Corvette sitting in the garage (waiting for us to get some money to do some small repairs!)

The 76 Vette is a nice lookin car. I much prefer the older Vettes to the new models, the older ones had great curves. I think the newer ones are too "bulky". I don't know if that's the right way to put it but they have no shape to them. My mom almost bought a 78 Vette when it first came out but she needed a car with a rear seat for my little brother so she bought a Z28 instead (we are taking care of it while she's in Idaho)
You will truly enjoy that Vette when you get it out on the open road, the ride is alot like that of the Camaro, stiff and rather uncomfortable on the regular streets but get it out on the highway and it is a joy to drive. What color is your Vette?
