3rd Generation Annoying Brake Squeal

Found this site a few days ago and have spent way too much time reading all the information so I thought it would be a good idea to join. I have owned a 81 Celica Supra with straight 6 ( loved that car), 86 Corrolla and currently a I have a 93' Camry XLE, V6, Automatic, with 160k miles. I love the car also but it has an annoying brake squeal while driving slowly and not pressing the brake. The rotors have also warped multiple times and I have either replace or had them turned. I replaced all pads at least twice with different types of material, but the rotors are begining to warp again and the brake squeal returned a few months later. I applied the anti-squeal pads to the back of the pads, but still have the squeal. I disassembled the breaks again and feel as though the clearance between the rods that the calipers ride on seems excessive. Anybody had this problem before and have an inexpensive fix? Are there replacement rods and bushing kits available from the dealer or aftermarket?

welcome, and post up the question in the general forum so more people will see it and help you

and if you ask me, it sounds like your pins are stuck, or possibly the springs are too weak, so your pads are always touching the discs, creating excessive heat- adding braking, the discs can easily warp

and that's what I presume you mean by rods? you should be able to pick them up *probably* at an aftermarket store....but not sure
