Also late...but here goes. '03 Matrix

I had put a M/M/M up, but it was before we had this forum...so here goes (still a newbie around here).

Me: name is Ryan
Mine: '03 Toyota Matrix XR
Mods: Injen CAI, TRD springs, 18" Motegi MR7's, tint.
Future: exhaust on order, carbon fiber hood, had a system in it, but it was stolen...need to replace that at some point...

What is up dude. I think I saw your car the other day. My mom just bought an 03 Matrix a red one. You might have seen it it the one in the driveway with the yellow 81 celica and the maroon 88 camry with the touring wing. My mom got everything pussy model except the ground effects kit and teh 16's other than that it is the XR with automatic and the less poer motor although it still kicks my camry's ass.

heh

I might have....I tend to notice all the Matrix in the area.

Mine is an automatic XR as well...so we actually have the same car.
My car is more for looks then racing....its not very fast. Otherwise I wouldn't have put the heavy Motegi wheels on it.

Are there very many matrix's out there yet? I don't think the dealership I work at (Jay Wolfe Toyota but only when I am not in school) has sold too many of them. I actually saw one down here in pittsburg outside my auto lab with 17's on them but they were ugly player want to be wheels.

Yes I really removed my rear seats and the V6 black strap I got at the dealership me and my dad work at. My dad is the parts manager there and I am a tech there. It is very easy to install just a vew bolts and it is on there.

so you work at a Toyota dealership? Excellent...

so if I bring it in for service you can sort of get around the intake and stuff?

Well no probably not because right now I am not there I am 110 miles south in pittsburg for school. I am interning there and I have no authority of what I work on. If it came in I would work on it I wouldn't send it out unless your intake was the problem of the car then we would have to send it out(not my call). However if you ever want to buy TRD parts my dad is the parts manager there. He can NOT get you a discount but if you tell him I told you to come there and get the part I get 10% of the sale. Just remember SAME price as any other dealer.

heh

Thats cool on the TRD stuff.

Same price as in, same as what Superior sells it for, or same price as what I can get it from toyotaparts4u.com for? (they sell at dealer cost basically, much cheaper than most local dealerships I have found).

Yeah my dad charges the same as any other dealership around here so yes the same as superior. The only thing that you are doing by buying from Jay wolfe toyota is giving me 10% of the sale.

No I don't think you understand. He isn't getting a discount I am getting part of the money made from the part.

I remember seeing a camry w/ rims, dont remember if it was yours or not.

Those rims look tight...needs some springs, but looks good.
