OT THE RNC COMMITS "SKETCHY" ELECTIONEERING IN ADVANCE OF VA. GOVERNOR'S RACE
Thousands of automated telephone calls to voters across Virginia
telling them they may not be registered to vote have prompted many
calls and complaints to local registrars, officials said Tuesday.
The Republican National Committee is making the calls and telling
Virginia residents that the call is "an important election alert. Our
records indicate you may not be properly registered to vote at this
address."
The female caller's voice then states, "The race for Virginia's
next governor will be close" and urges the person called to fill out
a form that the Republican Party will be sending "in the mail in the
next couple of days."
Confusion and consternation has been a result across the state because
most of those receiving the calls in some localities are properly
registered, registrars said.
Twenty calls in Albemarle County were from "persons all legally
registered to vote," said acting Registrar Linda Helf. Of the 20
voters who have called her office since Friday, "some were upset,"
Helf said. "Basically, people are confused."

Sounds to me like the Republicans are trying to make sure people are
registered to vote properly. That's a far cry from the Democrats who
were making sure people could vote who were not registered to do so.
Even worse, they were making sure dead people, people who had already
voted, illegal aliens, felons, etc. were voting for their side.

Who authorized the RNC to do that?
Who vetted the script that the phone caller reads to the voter?
Who vetted the methodology the RNC uses to contact the voter?
