I'm not white nor black but agree with this. There is a double standard out
there and a double dose of hypocrisy. There are racists of every color and
creed. Of course I am not perfect and realize this but still try to better
myself. Other people need to understand they are not perfect either and
LEARN from others.
I have friends of many different colors and religions and when we get
together we don't see each other as that, but as FRIENDS. That's the way it
should be.
My .02 cents.

....Why is it, some "black" people prefer to be called "African Americans"
but still call "white" people, white???

Bullshit - fight it - fight it no matter *who* is doing it, or it will only
get worse

The gist of it could be very positive - of course there are racists from all
backgrounds. What I especially found unnecessary was the gratuitous use of
racial/ethnic slurs. We don't need to see those again, and that includes
the anti-caucasian slurs as well.[color=blue]

Don't even use the word 'Gospel' in relation to that toad.[color=blue]

But the country was founded on freedom - like it or not, that's for

I think PC is a bunch of shit for the most part too, but this country was
supposed to be founded on individual freedoms. Majority rule is a factor,
but if you take away *anyone's* right to dissent (Religiously or otherwise),
you diminish the whole. I'd personally love to see prayer in schools again
(God knows that's where we need it most), but I can appreciate the view from
the other side.

or any toad.

Americans are lazy (or want to be) which I find to be an admirable
quality.

If you can't change America, go to Canada.

PC is a sophomoric attempt at cultural sensitivity
[color=blue]

unless you're talking about the 2000 Presidential election

dissent is the very definition of our freedom

I know, Nat; I copied it unedited.

This is true. The point of the article was meant to be (for me, anyway)
two ideas. This is the US, and we HAVE our custome and our culture. Those
of us that were born here (generally) follow these, as this was the
composition of our country.
This does NOT exclude anyone from observing whatever they wish. Just don't
do away with the established culture of the US.
