How much does this cost?

My 2000 Camry was knocked by someone in the hood while it was parked.

It almost made me unable to open the hood as that's where the latch
is. What's the best way to go about fixing it? About how much will
it cost me?

Any bodyshop will give you a free estimate. The cost will vary depending on
where you take it.

I'd take it to a body shop for an estimate. Most will provide one for free.

My guess is $800.

Straightening out the dent is trivial: what will cost is repainting the
hood. Its usually pretty hard to match a small area of metallic paint. I'd
guess about $500-600 at a body shop. Want to spend this on a 5 year old car?

If you are handy or know someone who is, its about $30 in materials
including a can of touch up paint. The result won't be perfect, but you'll
save 100's of dollars.
