During the 2000 Presidential elections I had a co-worker who let it
slip out he had traded votes with someone in California. Apparently
there were websites where you could set up this sort of thing. Since
he lived in Virginia he knew this state was going to Bush but he wanted
his vote for Gore to count towards a win. Some fellow in California
wanted to vote for Nader but knew Nader would never win, yet wanted his
vote to count somewhere. So they swapped votes, hoping they could
circumvent the system somehow.
I sure hope you aren't involved in some sort of scheme like this in
Virginia. I'm gonna keep a sharp eye out for you on November 8th when
I go to the voting booth.
