OT Al Gore is a traitor... Proof is in his speach in Stockholm...
Stockholm: Former Vice President Al Gore said Wednesday he had no
intention of ever running for president again, but he said the United
States would be "a different country" if he had won the 2000 election,
launching into a scathing attack of the Bush administration.
"I have absolutely no plans and no expectations of ever being a
candidate again," Gore told reporters after giving a speech at an
economic forum in Sweden.
When asked how the United States would have been different if he had
become president, though, he had harsh criticism for Bush's policies.
"We would not have invaded a country that didn't attack us," he said,
referring to Iraq. "We would not have taken money from the working
families and given it to the most wealthy families."
"We would not be trying to control and intimidate the news media. We
would not be routinely torturing people," Gore said. "We would be a
different country."
Gore did not elaborate. But last year, he blamed Bush administration
policies for the inmate abuse scandal at the Abu Ghraib prison in
Iraq.
Mike Feldman, Gore's spokesman, did not immediately comment on Gore's
remark when reached by phone in Washington.
Tracey Schmitt, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee,
called Gore's comments "fictitious rants that border on dangerous."

Now Gore is a traitor? Is it safe to assume that anyone outside of the 39%
who still approve of Bush is a traitor in your opinion?

Gore is a perfect example of big a blow-hard politician with a big tummy
and a big mouth and nothing to back it up with. Gore is truly a loser.

When overseas a prominent politician does not attack his own country
and government. At the most he should have either refrained from
answering the question or been more diplomatic about it. His method
gives aid and comfort to the terrorist enemies, even justifying their
attacks upon innocent peoples.

Or maybe it makes some future terrorists realize we're not all in
support of what our government is doing and makes them attack our
politicians instead of us. We'll never know.

What difference does it make where he is? You think the media won't carry
his remarks abroad if he utters them in Tuscaloosa?

Oh, absolutely. Once the Reichskanzeller has decided on a course of action,
that's it, no more debate and no criticism whatsoever! Sieg Heil!
Unless of course, we're NOT living in Nazi Germany.
Running for office does not strip Gore of his right to free speech. If he
thinks the President is wrong, he is at liberty to say so.
What gives support to our enemies is having an Administration that supports
torture and reserves the right to suspend freedoms for some. The Dutch have
refused to extradite a terrorist suspect to the US because they believe we
no longer guarantee a right to due process. The existence of 600 permanent
inmates in Guantanamo, held beyond the reach of law without trial, executive
orders for "extraordinary rendition" and CIA kidnappings in Italy have made
it more difficult to get international cooperation in our fight against
terrorists.
Well done, George!

There is a difference between being overseas and at home. At home he
is having a squabble with his own kind and country. When overseas he
is on "their" side and announcing to the whole world he supports them
instead.
Even though many Americans disagree with the politics of their leaders,
it is not appropriate for politicians to criticize their own government
while in foreign lands. Ex-Vice President Gore should know that better
than anybody. This could almost be described as sedition.

Look at your hero gore, then take a look in the mirror.

You're suggesting Gore engage in group think because he is on foreign
soil? Why?
The beauty of our country is we 'can' criticize our 'leadership'. Your
quote above sounds like a dictum from a communist country. Maybe you and
Bush should move to one.
