1978 Celica Fuel Pump Resistor

I am trying to locate the fuel pump resistor for my 1978 Toyota Celica. This
is a carb model with 20R engine. I've located the pump relay but the
resistor doen't appear to be nearby. Any suggestions? I've tried the
dealers but all they have is a drawing of the resistor on a "pigtail". No
location.

In my '79 Celica's manual, they show it as being under the hood, passenger
side, near the charcoal canister for the EVAP emsiisions system . It looks
to be located under a (heat?) shield of some sorts. Manual says that
resistance should be "Approx. 1.4 ohms". HTH
